Introduction of Quang Binh Database and Coordination Unit
The Project on Establishment and Support of the Provincial Mine Action Database and Coordination Unit (DBCU) in Quang Binh (old) Province is part of the cooperative mine action program between the Quang Binh Provincial People’s Committee and Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA) during the period 2020–2025.
The project aims to establish, develop and further implement a database unit responsible for information management and coordination of mine action activities. Through the development of a comprehensive database system, the DBCU enhances the capacity for systematic data collection, processing, secure storage, and analysis of explosive ordnance contamination and clearance activities. This enables more informed and evidence-based decision-making by both provincial and national mine action authorities.
By improving coordination and data transparency, the project contributes to more effective prioritization of clearance tasks, supports risk education planning, and facilitates reporting to stakeholders at all levels.
